Year 2013, came and went in a whirl. Studio Sessions were, as always, great fun; lots of discussion and laughter, enthusiasm and encouragement.
It started with THE CANCER HOSPITAL PROJECT ; a Fund-raiser for the National Cancer Institute/Hospital in Maharagama, SRI LANKA. Participants were invited to use the fabrics from my 'Stash' to 'COMPLETE-NINE-QUILT-BLOCKS-IN-A-DAY!'.
Time was short with only the month of February to organise Workshops. However, we managed in 5 days to raise $1,200. A huge 'THANK YOU' for such wonderful support from the Lovely Ladies, and friends who asked to be included in 'The Project'
In March and April, Tony and I went to SRI LANKA. We used the week before the children and the grand-children arrived to meet up with family and friends, and, one particular highlight then was our flight to JAFFNA , in the country's north, in a 12-seater Cessna with my beloved school friend, Aloma Gamage.
Looking back, the Family Holiday in SRI LANKA seems like a dream. We both have been truly blessed to have had the experience of a journey in the land of our birth with all our
family - Karen, Michael, and their children Kira (who had a very special 15th Birthday on the trip) and Andrew, and, Craig, Kim, and their children, Joshua and Milla. Tony's intensive planning blossomed into a wonderful experience. It was a packed trip, and, the creation of so many memories that would live in our hearts and minds forever.

Trips galore have been the norm for our Studio Family with more exciting times planned for 2014.
Donations of ''Quilts for worthwhile causes' are becoming an expression of goodwill for many. Arms full of baby Quilts for the ANGLISS HOSPITAL, in Ferntree Gully, Victoria, from Jan Harris. And, large Quilts from Julie Davey, for children attending COTTAGE BY THE SEA, Queenscliff, Victoria. There were generous donations of cash for Thelma Baravington's former school in the Philippines which was destroyed by TYPHOON HAIYAN.
My friends at VICTORIAN FELTMAKERS (VFI) continue to inspire with their awesome hand-Felted creations. With the Exhibition Committee, I've been organising the Members Exhibition FELTernative 2014, which will be at THE MEMO GALLERY Healesville, Victoria. This Exhibition is now our Biennial celebration of Felted Creations in its many forms.
And, a short Video
